The Amaila Hydropower Project is led by the Sithe Global Group, a leading U.S.-based international energy company. Sithe Global's core management team has successfully led the development or acquisition of over 70 power plants comprising more than 18,000 MWs globally. The Engineering, Procurement and Construction Contract for the plant was awarded to China Railway Engineering Group, one of the world's largest infrastructure construction companies with significant experience building hydropower plants
The Amaila Hydropower Project will provide Guyana with a dependable and steady source of electricity powering future development.
